About Spirit Express
Spirit Express LLC is a trucking company dedicated to the safe transportation of liquid petroleum products in tanker trailers.
The company was founded by Tommy Thompson, who has been in the fuel business since 1967.
Spirit Express was started in 2002 with just 3 trucks, and grew to 15 trucks in 2007 after a merger with Fast Transport.
The company has seen tremendous growth under the leadership of it's Director of Transportation, Greg Kelley.
The company now has over 30 trucks domiciled in cities across the southeast including: Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Athens, and Birmingham.

Q. How do I become a driver?
Fill out our full application with at least 10 years previous employment.
Q. What are the minimum requirements?
A qualified applicant must be at least 25 years of age. They must currently have a Class A CDL, a tanker endorsement, and a hazmat endorsement. They must have at least 2 years experience or 1 year experience with a driving school certificate.
Q. How much money can I make?
That depends on the driver, as we pay by the load. We offer night pay differential, weekend incentive, holiday pay, and bonuses. Our driver's make about $65,000 on average.
Q. What kind of equipment do you use?
We only have day cab trucks with automatic transmissions. We have 3 different kinds of trucks, International LT 625, Pro Star, and Kenworth T880's. All trailer's are Heil 406 petroleum trailers.
